MAMMS Welfare Trust (MWT), a non-political, non-profit organization founded under the leadership of Professor Dr. Sayeba Akhter, is pleased to submit this report to the NGO Affairs Bureau. The report gives a full account of the use of a foreign grant of USD 5000 from North American Humanitarian Aid and Relief (NAHAR). The grant was awarded for the project titled “Support the Flood Victims in Chittagong, Bangladesh,” which aims to help families in the Chittagong region whose homes and livelihoods were badly damaged by the recent floods.
MWT has a long commitment to serving vulnerable communities in Bangladesh, and this project carries that mission into disaster response and recovery. The grant funds are being used through a standard, transparent procurement and beneficiary-selection process to deliver two forms of support. First, MWT is rebuilding three flood-damaged houses: one in Lohagara Union and two in Shatkania Union. This gives the affected families safe and lasting shelter. Second, MWT is distributing relief food packs containing rice, lentils, oil, salt, and dry food to around 105 individuals in the affected area. Together, these activities will directly benefit about 120 people. MWT confirms its commitment to accountability and to its mission of serving the most vulnerable people in Bangladesh.
